For Businesses:
Tracy’s primary industries are in healthcare, distribution, food processing, manufacturing, and government…as well as agriculture…as evidenced by the number of tomatoes that are grown here.
Our strategic location in the Central San Joaquin Valley…60 miles east of San Francisco…is a major draw for businesses interested in relocating or expanding here.
Tracy has five industrial parks that are within easy access of major interstates. Two additional projects currently under development include the Edgewood Corporate Center and the South Tracy Business Park, which offers space for small manufacturing and light industrial use.
Two programs that are ensuring the future success of our workforce are the Tracy Industry Education Partnership, a collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders and the Hire Me First Certification, which gives students the chance to develop the skills that will make them more marketable.
Come to Tracy and see why we’re a city that’s on the move!
Tracy takes economic development seriously. This philosophy is evident by the ongoing investment in our downtown area, which includes a new City Hall, streetscape improvements, the reconstruction of the Grand Theatre Center for the Performing Arts and the renovation of the headquarters for the Fire Department.
Future plans include the construction of a plaza that will link downtown Tracy with the future residential development being planned for the vacant “Bow-tie” area and a multi-modal transit station.
Our business parks along I-205 offers up an enticing business environment for retailers looking for new opportunities.
Tracy’s Economic Development Department and the Chamber of Commerce are always ready to help a business grow.
Tracy is strong, thriving and diverse…but we’re not done yet. Come see what we can do for your business!
